Postteller

Privacy policy

Effective November 8, 2026

Information used by the service

We use information you provide, including account email and name, invitation names and event details, orders and payment status. Guests may provide RSVP names, attendance, accompanying guest counts, optional phone numbers and messages, and gift reports. Technical information may be used to operate, secure and diagnose the service.

Why we use information

We use this information to authenticate accounts, create and display invitations, verify purchases, record RSVPs, help hosts manage their events, prevent misuse and resolve technical issues. Purchase payments are handled by the payment provider shown at checkout; Postteller does not process direct guest gift payments.

Who can see it

Published invitation details can be viewed by anyone with the link, including anyone it is forwarded to. Hosts can view guest responses and gift reports for their invitations. The public gifters list shows only host-confirmed gifts from guests who permit public display; it does not show gift amounts. Authorized administrators and service providers may access information as needed to operate the service or meet legal obligations.

Browser storage

Postteller uses browser storage to maintain sign-in, remember guest cart items and preserve settings such as invitation mute preferences. Clearing browser storage can remove these saved settings and sign you out.

Retention and security

We retain information as needed to provide the service, maintain purchase records, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Access controls protect account and host information, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Avoid including sensitive information in publicly shared invitations.

Your choices and rights

You can update account information in your account settings and edit permitted invitation details. Guests should contact the invitation host about their RSVP or gift report. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access, correction or deletion of personal information, subject to lawful retention requirements. Privacy requests can be made through an available Postteller support channel. Changes to this policy will be posted here with an effective date.
